Dylan's first steps!

Well not his very first steps. He started this a week or so ago. He can balance for a little while by himself and his record so far is 6 steps. Don't really know why I'm encouraging him so much, he gets into enough trouble as it is!

We're very much looking forward to our holiday coming up. Only 31 days to go.
Then it will be Dylans first birthday and then christmas. Gee, how this year has flown by. I was only thinking yesterday about what we are going to do with the christmas tree this year. Dylan will pull it to pieces!

Anyway, can't think of any news to tell. Just wanted to put this video up for all to see.

Hope everyone is happy and healthy.

Party Time!!

Well, September is our very busy birthday month. There's mine on the 17th, CJ's on the 19th, Andrew's dad on the 21st and mum on the 23rd. Plus Shaun's girlfriend was on the 12th I think. She turned 21 and had a fancy dress party which is what the photo is from. We had a good night and Nanna took Dylan home so we could go out for a bit of a dance at the Irish Club. And yes we did go out all dressed up. Everyone was very impressed to see the clown!!

The next day wasn't nice, after having just 3 1/2hours sleep, Dylan woke at 7am. He pretty much owned the house for the day, so by the time he went to bed sunday night the house looked like it had been through a hurricane!!

So, this is what Dylan likes to do.....

Nanna Deb turns 50 this weekend!!!
We are having a birthday lunch on Sunday and then Deb and Gary are having an exciting and relaxing week away at Cairns next week.

Anyway, Dylan is due to wake very soon and then we are heading over to CJ's new house to give him some pressents and take him out to lunch.

Bye for now

Teeth at last!

Well, Dylan has finally got his first teeth. His 2 front bottom teeth broke through on tuesday. He has been handling it quite well and been sleeping good this week. YAY!

As you can see above he is growing up very quickly. He looks like a real little boy now. He has taken control of Andrew's remotes!!! I'm not even allowed to touch them!

And he got into the baby wipes one day. I think they felt good on his gums. He was pulling them out one by one, sucking them and throwing them away. Oh, and he can now reach the toilet paper roll! He used to stand there trying to reach it while I was in there, but now I have to lock him out cause he pulls all the paper off the roll. Thinks he is soooo clever!

It's nearly time for swimming again. Dylan can't wait to get in the pool. We have been putting our feet in and he splashes around and we both get soked. So now he knows how to splash properly in the bath.

Mowing the carpet

We bought Dylan this lawn mower and were going to keep it till his birthday but couldn't resist. He loves it! We took the handle off for the moment cause it wasn't strong enough to hold him.

Update

So....... my internet friend Meg has kindly set up this blog spot for me so everyone can come visit and see what we are up to. Just trying to work it all out. Hopefully you will all be able to log on everynow and then and watch Dylan grow.

What are we all up to then??? Well Dylan is now 9 months old and doing very well. His bottom teeth will be cutting through any day now. He is walking the furniture and has just started to say Dadda this week. Just in time for Fathers Day.

I am still working part time a few days a week and waiting to get Dylan into daycare. Have been seriously considering resigning, but not sure yet. I guess I might just give it till christmas. I've just booked flights for me and Dylan to fly down to Newcastle in November for a quick visit. Can't wait!

Andrew is enjoying his new job underground. He is driving bigggg trucks and playing with explosives!!! He has been doing some paving out the back this week which is wonderful. And seeing as his car has spent more time at the mechanics than at home the last 6 months, he is looking at trading that in. (Just what we need!!!)
