We're back!

Just adding a couple of quick photos for Grandma!

Now that I have another bub cooking away, I am extremely tired. Not to mention working full time and cleaning up after cyclone Dylan!

Dylan's favourite thing to do at the moment is urn his toy boxes upside down and spread the contents through the house.

Anyway, we had a great holiday. Dylan was very good and just loved spending a month outside. He came home very tanned and his hair looks like it's been bleached.
We haven't loaded all our photos yet, so I will try and do it this weekend and also work out how to put videos on here from our new video camera.
Ok, off to bed for me.

Sorry it's been a while!

Dylan with his new gum boots! He loves them.

Dylan with his Daddy..... he loves him too!!

His new PJ's from Grandma. And playing with my mobile which he was holding backwards. He has since worked out how to hold it to his ear properly.

This is great! It's a big book that turns into a fire engine.

So, we had computer problems and got a new one a while ago and I've still been trying to work out how to use it properly. (which I obviously haven't done because I can't work out how to move these photos around!) Sorry it's been so long.

We had a visis from Grandma over Easter which was lots of fun. Dylan had his first icecream cone from McDonalds. He was very good and sat down to eat it, because we always make him sit down to eat. And he shared and didn't make too much mess and loved it!

The lady that had been looking after Dylan decided she didn't want to do daycare anymore (not because of Dylan!!) but thankfully her mum does daycare so she is looking after him. So now he goes to a house where they have a whole big area for kids, there are 2 carers and they have up to about 9 kids. It is so good for him. They say he is very well behaved and gets along with everyone and they are very impressed with all the food he eats! He's a little guts and is now about 11.5kg.

Work has been OK. It's busy and we're always short staffed and stupid people annoy me. But other than that it's good.

Andrew hasn't been home much the past month. He did a block of nightshifts and then went over to Townsville for a fishing trip with mates from work. He had a good time and caught some big fish, we ate one last night which was beautiful. Then he was only home for one night before he left to go to Forster with Shaun and Jorgo. Sadly Gauci (who was one of Andrews Best men) had an accident and was in a coma for a week and a half and then passed away. The boys went down for his funeral. Such a sad time for all his family and friends. So they were gone for a week and when they got back Andrew had one night home and was back on nightshift again.

We've got less than 2 weeks till our big holiday. We are all very excited. We have 4 weeks to go up to the tip of Australia and back again. We are hiring a camper trailer from Cairns, Dad is flying up to come with us as well as Deb and Gary and CJ. Dylan loves being outside so I think he is going to have a great time.

We shaved Dylan's head today! Haven't got a photo yet, but he looks so different. Andrew and CJ reckon he looks like a punk.... they left a rats tail at the back, but I'm gonna cut it off. He doesn't look like a baby anymore.

OK, this is giving me the poops cause I can't do what I want to do, so that will be all untill we get back from Cape York. (If we don't get eaten by crocs!!)

Just a quick post

Well, this is Dylan's new game. He climbs up on to the coffee table by himself and runs and jumps onto the lounge. I missed the start with my video sorry.

We don't really have much to report at the moment. I have gone back to work full time and Dylan is being looked after by a lady at her house. Her name is Tamara and she has 2 kids of her own who are at school and she looks after 4 or 5 kids every day. Dylan is the youngest and he loves Tamara and gets along well with the other kids. So that is all going well.

Andrew has been doing some tiling with Shaun on his days off so he is very busy. When he isn't tiling he has a list of stuff to do at home, including re-doing our bathroom + bedroom + spare bedroom!

All plans are going ahead for our trip to Cape York in May. We've got a camper trailer booked from Cairns and are just hoping all the rain and floods have well cleared by then.

Grandma Hartley is coming for a visit over Easter which we are very excited about. And Poppy Ronny is coming on the trip to Cape York with us too.

Dylan has started saying uh-oh and his favourite is "what's that?" while pointing to everything! He tries to copy everything we say now and is getting a few new letter sounds out.
The other day Andrew was outside and I came out of the toilet and he was standing on one of the dining chairs at the kitchen table! Cheeky little boy!

Hoping everyone is well.
Please send me an email and say hi.

Bye for now,
Kel

Bits and Pieces

Dylan dragged this backpack out of the cupboard the other day and I put it on his back. He insisted on carrying it around for a while.

This is the floatie thing Grandma gave Dylan for his birthday. I've been promising her a photo for weeks.

Dylan has these little balls he chases everywhere. He spends hours rolling them behind the lounges and under the coffee table.

New toys for christmas.

He just LOVES water!!

Told ya he tries to climb everything.

Ha ha, for a couple of days he was wandering around doing this snorting thing. It was so funny, didn't get a very good video of it though.

LOVES the pool! Although now he knows how to get up the stairs and get out he thinks it's funny to throw the pebbles in. This is one of his jumps.

Cheeky Little Devil

Well Dylan is quickly learning how to climb into, onto, under and through everything!! I'm very surprised he hasn't seriously hurt himself yet. Nothing is safe anymore. Anything that is over 10cm tall, he stands on.

Oh, I didn't get a photo of it, but if we leave his little lounge too close to the coffee table, he climbs up it and stands ontop of the coffee table.

Another I don't have a photo of... one side of his bedroom cupboard is hard to open, so he can only get it open about 30cm at the most. His change table is in there. So he squeezes himself in there and crawls into the bottom shelf of the change table and just lies down and plays.

Christmas

OK, so I've been very slack in not posting anything lately. We have been very busy lately and seems like there are not enough hours in the day.

Andrew was on nightshift for christmas so we had to wait for him to get home before opening any presents. Dylan got spoilt and had a great time ripping into all the presents and eating the wrapping paper. The lounge room was covered in toys and paper. After we did the presents we had Deb and Gary and Shaun, Therese and Darren over for pancakes, fuit and icecream for breakfast outside. It was yummy.
After everyone left Andrew went to bed and Dylan had a little sleep. When Dylan woke I took him next door for a visit. (Allan was there and Annie that used to work at the PO). Dylan had a little play with the kids and then I brought him home for another steep. After playing in his cot for 45mins I got him up cause there was no way he was gonna go to sleep. So we went over to Debs for the arvo and Andrew came over when he woke up. We had a roast dinner and then Andrew went to work and I brought Dylan home for bed. CJ came over when he finished work but he'd already eaten heaps at work so he stayed for a bit and that was it.

On the 29th we had our pretend christmas over at Deb's and had lots of yummy food, a few drinks, a swim or two, a funny game of pictionary and then too Sheryl (Gary's daughter) out to see the Mt Isa nightlife!! Yeah, we took her to the Irish club and had a great time.
